This tour takes you inland towards an old Viking settlement. We will be riding past the Lofoten Links golf course to find the old road the Vikings used from the ocean back to the village. Nowadays the land has turned into a nature reserve with a booming birdlife. This tour is for intermediate and advanced riders only, as we will experience faster gates. We require every rider to have full control of their horses.
This tour can however be adapted to beginners on request via private booking.
We provide all the equipment needed and only cancel when conditions are unsafe.

Hov Gård is situated at Hov, on the island of Gimsøy, in the heart of Lofoten. Hov is approximately 45 kilometres south-west of Svolvær and 50 kilometres north-east of Leknes. Follow the E10 and turn off at the Sundklakkbrua bridge on Gimsøy. As you will see, the riding centre is centrally situated in Lofoten, under an hour’s drive away from most overnight accommodations and attractions.
